This document discusses different types of morphemes:
- Free morphemes can stand alone with meaning, like "straight" and "bright".
- Bound morphemes cannot stand alone and must be attached to other morphemes to form words, like prefixes "ante-" and "re-" or suffixes "-ly" and "-ed".

• Any word must contain 1base and one or more affixes as: • Readability------- free base= read • Two suffixes= abil and --- ity. read(v.), readable(adj.), readability(n.)
• Unmistakable--- un|mis|take|able 1 free base which is take
• 2 Prefix un--, mis--- 1 suffix able • Within bound morpheme it is difficult to know the exact meaning of them as in : sent in the following words: resent امتعض • dissentمخا لف • consentي وافق • sentimentحساس
