Practically this study is expected to be a useful information, an insight, and also an

understanding relating to the translation techniques to translate a movie and any
academic sources or literacy works, especially for the students in English Study
Program of Riau University and this study will hopefully can be a reference for their
future related study and the mentioned techniques by Molina and Albir can be applied
on their works.

Hatim and Munday (2004) define translation as the process of

transferring a written text from source language (SL) to target

equivalent in the TL.

Molina and Albir (2002) propose the term

Suggestions
For the reader
Many findings in the journal or thesis that were conducted by other
researchers which have the same topic represent and show that literal
translation technique is the most frequent technique used in the subtitle
text of many movies. This should be mattered to the translators or the
English students, because they are expected to focus more on the
techniques that produce a low and high-quality translation. By translating
word-by-word could lead the translation product to sound unnatural,
unacceptable, or inaccurate.
For other researchers
The writer suggests that other researchers who would like
to conduct a similar study, they should cover other related
aspect such as the strategies in translation, methods, or
ideologies. This could increase our interests and
excitement in translation-related study and assist us to
gain more understandings or comprehension in the field
that has correlation to translation.
