Is Important
• Exercise intensity is just one of the
important components of your
workout program, part of the F.I.T.T.
Principle, a set of guidelines that
shows you exactly.
What is Exercise
Intensity?
• Intensity is probably the most
important element of your workout
because when you workout at a
sufficient intensity.

INTENSITY
LOW EXERCISE
INTENSITY
• raises keeps your heart rate steady and keeps
you moving slowly.
MODERATE
INTENSITY
WORKOUT
• raises your heart rate, leave you sweating, breathing
heavier, and moving at a quicker pace. You may not
be able to talk easily, and you will be feeling warmer.
VIGOROUS INTENSITY
• exercise will get your heart pumping, elevate
your heart rate, and leave you breathing hard.

• Increases calorie burn and
metabolic rate.
•Lower mortality risk.
Important Safety
Precautions in exercising
• Students should not take the test if not feeling well or suffering from
infection.
• Warm - up 3 - 5 minutes before Physical Fitness.
• Students should not take heavy meals for two hours before test.
• Students should wear physical education attire for the test.
• Exercise either in the morning or late afternoon when it is not so hot.
• If the individual is beginner, a graduated exercise program starting with
light exercise and gradually increasing the intensity should be
followed.
• Severe exercise must be avoided unless the individual is young and
athletic.

DEHYDRATION
What is Dehydration?
• Dehydration occurs when more water
and fluids leave the body than enter it.
Even low levels of dehydration can
cause headaches, lethargy, and
constipation.
Complications of untreated dehydration can
lead to life-threatening complications, such as:

• heat exhaustion
• heat cramps
• heatstroke
• seizures due to electrolyte loss
• low blood volume
• kidney failure
• Coma
As the condition progresses to
moderate dehydration, symptoms
include
• Feeling very thirsty (adult)
• Dry mouth .
• Urinating and sweating less than usual.
• Dark-colored urine.
• Dry skin
• Feeling tired
• Dizziness
• A high fever, crying without tears, no wet diapers for 3
hours or more (infant)

you become hot, your sweat glands active to release
moisture from your body in an attempt to cool it off.
