YOU MATTER TO GOD

YOUR LIFE MATTERS TO GOD. DON'T WASTE

IT.
Isaiah 43:1
But now, this is what the Lord says- he who
created you, Jacob, he who formed you,
Israel. "Do not fear, for I have redeemed
you, I have summoned you by name, you are
mine."
Ephesians 5:15-17
v.15
Be very careful, then, how
you live- not as unwise but
as wise,
v.16
making the most opportunity,
because the days are evil.
v.17
Therefore do not be foolish, but
understand what the Lord's will
is.
Epeso 5:15-17
15
Kaya mag-ingat kayo kung paano kayo
namamuhay. Huwag kayong mamuhay tulad
ng mga mangmang kundi tulad ng
marurunong na nakakaalam ng kalooban ng
Dios.
  Huwag ninyong sayangin ang
16

panahon nʼyo; gamitin nʼyo ito sa

paggawa ng mabuti, dahil
maraming gumagawa ng kasamaan
sa panahong ito.
  Huwag kayong
17

magpakamangmang kundi
alamin nʼyo kung ano ang
kalooban ng Panginoon na
gawin ninyo.

1. THE ISSUE OF FREEDOM

This issue can be settled by making Jesu sas
your Lord and Savior.
Wrong perception:
That freedom in Christ is about being free to do whatever
they want to do in their life. This is wrong. Our freedom
in Christ is all about being free from the slavery of sins.

Therefore, the issue of freedom can be settled by

making Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
Juan 8:36
Kaya kung ang Anak ng Dios ang
magpapalaya sa inyo, talagang
magiging malaya kayo.
Romans 6:5-14

For if we have been united with
him in a death like his, we will
certainly also be united with him
in a resurrection like his.

For we know that our old self was
crucified with him so that the body
ruled by sin might be done away
with,  that we should no longer be
[a]

slaves to sin—

because anyone who has died has
been set free from sin.

Now if we died with Christ, we
believe that we will also live with
him.

For we know that since Christ
was raised from the dead, he
cannot die again; death no
longer has mastery over him.
The death he died, he
10

died to sin once for

all; but the life he lives,
he lives to God.
In the same way, count
11

yourselves dead to
sin but alive to God in
Christ Jesus.
Therefore do not let sin
12

reign in your mortal body

so that you obey its evil
desires.
Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as
13

an instrument of wickedness,but rather

offer yourselves to God as those who
have been brought from death to life;
and offer every part of yourself to him as
an instrument of righteousness.
For sin shall no longer be
14

your master, because you

are not under the law, but
under grace.
"Our freedom in Christ makes sense with respect to our
struggles with sin...
True freedom is when what God calls you to do and
what you most want to do turn out to be the same
thing. That is the freedom that Christ gives. If you have
this freedom then you are free indeed!" ( Statement of a
Christian Pastor )
Implications to daily living:
Christ died for you. He paid for your sins. You
already accepted Him as your Lord and Savior. You
are now saved. Then, do not waste your life. Sin no
more! Instead, invest in your spirituality which is your
greatest investment. Seek His words, follow His will.
Live in holiness.
I Peter 2:2
Like newborn babies, crave pure
spiritual milk, so that by it you
may grow up in your salvation.

2. THE ISSUE OF PURPOSE AND

DIRECTION
This issue can be settled by walking on
God's ways.
Epeso 5:15-17

Magsikap kayong mamuhay

15

nang may buong pag-iingat,

hindi tulad nghangal kundi
tulad ng mga pantas.
  Samantalahin ninyo ang panahon
16

dahil ang mga araw ay

masama.  Kaya nga, huwag kayong
17

maging mga mangmang, subalit

unawain ninyo kung ano ang kalooban
ng Panginoon.
Life's simple guideposts:

a. Do not live carelessly - v.15-16

( Be very careful, then, how you live-
not as unwise but as wise, making
the most opportunity, because the
days are evil. )
Life's simple guideposts:

b. Understand the Lord's will -

v.17 (Therefore do not be
foolish, but understand what the
Lord's will is.)
Juan 16:13
Gayunman, sa pagdating ng Espiritu ng
13

Katotohanan, papatnubayan niya kayo sa lahat ng

katotohanan. Ito ay sapagkat hindi siya magsasalita ng
patungkol sa kaniyang sarili. Kung ano ang kaniyang
maririnig,iyon ang kaniyang sasabihin. Ipapahayag
niya sa inyo ang mga bagay na darating.
Psalm 119:105
Your word O God is a lamp
unto my feet and a light unto
my path

3. THE ISSUE OF SIGNIFICANCE

This can be settled by becoming salt and light to
other people.
Life's significance is about creating impact. It's about
transcending over one's self and needs. it's about
contributing for the greater good.

In the biblical standpoint, the issue of significance can be

settled by becoming salt and light to other people.
Matthew 5:13-16
13
“You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt
loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty
again? It is no longer good for anything,
except to be thrown out and trampled
underfoot.
“You are the light of the
14

world. A town built on a hill

cannot be hidden.
Neither do people light a lamp and
15

put it under a bowl. Instead they put

it on its stand, and it gives light to
everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light
16

shine before others, that they may

see your good deeds and
glorify your Father in heaven.
How to become a salt and light to other
people?

a. Use your talents and

explore your potentials fully.
Lessons from JG’s life and from other people who
became known in their respective fields:
 God gave us talents, abilities and potentials--- And so,
let us use them. Talents not utilized are like precious
equipment hidden in a closet. Potentials not explored
are like great treasures kept hidden underground. They
are tools especially in times of great adversities.
Lessons from JG’s life and from other people who became known in
their respective fields:

 Sometimes our lack of accomplishments are not

products of the lack of talents, abilities and
opportunities but are outcomes of our unwillingness
to use what we have and the fear to explore the areas
of what we can do.
b. Share whatever you have

What we share are our gifts to many. It's the

expressions of our faith. For Christianity is
not only about singing spiritual hymns and
songs nor citing bible promises.
Beware of the spirit of a self-centered life that cries
"I, Me and Myself." You can live a life worthy of
Him if you live selflessly!

"There is a greater purpose than ourselves.”

Biblical Christianity must be
seen in all the details of life. It's
your noble response to His
goodness in your life!
Isaias 43:1
Pero ito ngayon ang sinasabi
ng PANGINOONG lumikha sa iyo, O
Israel: “Huwag kang matakot dahil
ililigtas kita.  Tinawag kita sa
[a]

pangalan mo, at ikaw ay akin.
