INTRODUCTION

1. Cellular light weight concrete (CLC) is a light weight concrete

that is produced by the combination of cement, sand, fly ash,
quarry dust and water with the foaming agents.
4
LITERATURE REVIEW

• R. Gopalakrishnan et al (2020)

Conducted an experimental study on the strength and durability of fly ash and quarry dust light weight foam
concrete
From this we found that the fly ash addition more than 30% in Portland cement emergence to produce the
lower density of foam concrete decreases workability as well as affects the hardening properties

• Raj Vardhan singh et al (2016)

They conducted experimental study of cellular light weight concrete

From this we conclude compressive strength of the cellular light weight concrete is increased when quarry
dust is partially replaced with fly ash content in it .

LITERATURE REVIEW

• Siong kang lin , et al (2017)

They conducted experiment on utilizing high volumes quarry wastes in the production of light weight foamed
concrete.
From this we found that the use of high volume of refined quarry dust as filler in LFC enhanced the compressive
strength as compared to the control foamed concrete prepared with 100% river sand .

• S. N. Raman et al (2015)

They conducted experimental study on influence of quarry dust and fly ash on the concrete compressive strength
development
From this we found that the partial replacement of river sand with quarry dust without the inclusion of fly ash
resulted in a reduction in the compressive strength of concrete.
6
OBJECTIVE

 The main objective is to determine the various

properties of cellular light weight concrete
7
METHODOLOGY

COLLECTION OF MATERIALS TESTS ON MATERIALS BATCHING

FOAM GENERATION

MIXING

CASTING

CURING

TESTING
8
MATERIALS

• Cement

• Fly Ash
9
MATERIALS

• Foaming agent

• Quarry dust
10
APPLICATIONS

 In large buildings construction this is used in the

construction of partition wall.

 It is also used in the construction of garden walls.

 These can be moulded in the form of slabs and can be
used as thermal insulators inside the building.
 These can be used in both internal and external walls in
the building where loading is slightly less.
 It can be used as insulating water pipes.
11
ADVANTAGES

 Light weight.

 Fire resistant.

 Thermal insulation.

 Cost efficient.

 Environmentally friendly.
