HEARING

PROBLEM STATEMENT

• HUMANS HAVE LIMITATIONS OF SIGHT AND

HEARING
• HUMANS CANNOT SEE DISTANT AND TINY OBJECT
CLEARLY
• BLIND SPOT AND OPTICAL ILLUSIONS ALSO LIMIT
ABILITY OF HUMANS IN
SEEING.MEANWHILE,SOMEONE WITH NORMAL
HEARING CAN ONLY HEAR SOUNDS BETWEEN 20-
20000Hz
DEVICE TO OVERCOME THE LIMITATION OF
SIGHT AND HEARING

• PERISCOPE
• MICROSCOPE
• MEGAPHONE
• EARPHONES
PERISCOPE

• optical instrument used in land and sea warfare,

submarine
• A periscope includes two mirrors or reflecting prisms to
change the direction of the light coming from the scene
observed
• Frequently there is a telescopic optical system that
provides magnification
MICROSCOPE

• used to examine objects that are too small to be seen by

the naked eye
• One way is to describe the method an instrument uses to
interact with a sample and produce images
• Microscopic means being invisible to the eye unless
aided by a microscope.
MEGAPHONE

• used to amplify a person's voice or other sounds and

direct it in a given direction.
• A megaphone increases the volume of sound by
increasing the acoustic impedance seen by the vocal
cords
• It also serves to direct the sound waves in the direction
the horn is pointing
EARPHONE

• a single user listen to an audio source privately, in

contrast to a loudspeaker,
• that use cables typically have either a 1/4 inch (6.35mm)
or 1/8 inch (3.5mm) phone jack for plugging the
headphones into the audio source
