INTRODUCTION
• Most fuel stations today are equipped with pumps that indicate the amount
filled in the customers vehicle but it doesn’t shows the exact reading.
• Most vehicles in Pakistan are equipped with an analog meter, so you don't
know the exact fuel
• Petrol storage tanks and the petroleum industry have a real problem of
monitoring the exact level of fuel in different tanks.
• This project primarily aims to create a digital display that shows the exact
amount of fuel.
5
INTRODUCTION TO FUEL MONITORING SYSTEM
• A Fuel Monitoring System is the technology designed to track real time fuel
level, consumption, refilling to optimize fuel efficiency, prevent drainage and
fraudulent activities.
• The fuel level sensor can be used with any type of fluid and automatically
determines the level by measuring the mass of the fluid via a smart fuel level
sensor and displaying the output on the screen in liters or milliliters
7
EXISTING FUEL GAUGE TECHNIQUES
• The most common and traditional fuel gauge system in use today uses a float
type resistive sensor to measure the fuel level in a tank.
o Most fuel stations today are committing scams and frauds that leads
to profit of petrol pump owner and losses of consumer.
11
PROBLEM STATEMENT
o This is due to the fuel level sensors in cars and fuel level sensors in pump.
o Modern vehicles use analog display systems that are built into most vehicles.
o This is because the display of the vehicle fuel gauge system is analog (dot, points or
digital). This inaccurate display leads to fraud.

PROPOSED SOLUTION
• The proposed system works with ultrasonic sensor which can measure fuel from
various dimension fuel tanks.
• The proposed system uses an ultrasonic sensor that can measure the fuel quantity
in fuel tanks of various sizes.
• The following system is used to prevent fraud at petrol stations.
• When the agent starts pouring fuel into the vehicle's tank, the flow sensor
activates and generates a series of pulses proportional to the instantaneous fuel
consumption. The flow sensor sends data to the microcontroller.
• The proposed system uses an ultrasonic sensor that can measure the fuel quantity
in fuel tanks of various sizes.

METHODOLOGY
• This device will show the actual amount of fuel on the LCD screen in liters L or
milliliters ml.
• If level of fuel is less than the expected level the buzzer will buzz and it will
inform us that this is time to refill the petrol tank of your vehicle and the vehicle
user will be safe from the petrol station fraud and scam.
