INTRODUCTION
• Most fuel stations today are equipped with pumps that indicate the amount filled, but the
amount of fuel poured into the tank of a customer's vehicle is much less than the
indicated value.
• Most cars in Pakistan are equipped with an analog meter, so you don't know the exact
fuel level or how much fuel is currently in your car, nor can you check how much fuel
you have filled at a petrol station.
• Petrol storage tanks and the petroleum industry have a real problem of monitoring the
exact level of fuel in different in tanks.
• This project primarily aims to create a digital display that shows the exact amount of fuel
poured into a car's tank, helping to cross-check the amount of fuel filled at petrol stations.

INTRODUCTION TO FUEL MONITORING SYSTEM
• A fuel gauge is a device used to indicate the fuel level in a tank. It is commonly used for
automobiles, but can also be used for any tank, including underground storage tanks.
• The system consists of two critical circuits used to measure and display fuel level.
• The sensor package typically uses a float switch to measure the fuel level, and the fuel gauge
system displays the fuel level by measuring the amount of current flowing through the sensor
package.
• The main focus of this project is the fuel gauge on most of vehicles.
6
FUEL MONITORING SYSTEM
• A Fuel Monitoring System is the technology designed to track real time fuel
level, consumption, refilling to optimize fuel efficiency, prevent drainage and
fraudulent activities. Fuel monitoring is essential in truck fleet management
system in logistics sector, as this solution becomes part of vehicle fuel tracking
system.
• The fuel level sensor can be used with any type of fluid and automatically
determines the level by measuring the mass of the fluid via a smart fuel level
sensor and displaying the output on the screen in liters or milliliters

EXISTING FUEL GAUGE TECHNIQUES
• The most common and traditional fuel gauge system in use today uses a float
type resistive sensor to measure the fuel level in a tank and consists of two units.
This research aims to assist general public from getting scammed, as this system can
gives accurate value of remaining fuel in liters or milliliters as well as the vehicle
running capacity in km
To develop a system that can determine accurate level of fluids in vehicles tanks and
storages, it is estimated to be up to 70% to 75% because of advance type C.P.U is
preferred and used in this project.
To analyze and improve the mechanical, physical and software based properties of this
system, so the time taken to evaluate data should be in micro seconds.
This systems should be cost efficient and the hardware used in must be easily available
and and should determine average fuel, accurate fuel level and this technology can help
reduce petrol station scams and frauds.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
o . Most gas stations today are committing scams and frauds that leads to profit of petrol
pump owner and losses of consumer.
o This is due to the fuel level sensors in cars and fuel level sensors in pump tanks not being
able to accurately read the inlet and outlet of the fuel from petrol station.
o Modern vehicles use analog display systems that are built into most vehicles. The problem
with these systems is that they do not provide accurate information about things like: The
exact amount of fuel remaining in the vehicle's tank.
o This is because the display of the vehicle fuel gauge system is analog (dot, points or digital).
So the fuel readings are inaccurate due to this analog guage system. This inaccurate display
leads to fraud and it doesn’t tell us the exact amount of how much fuel is left in the tank of
vehicle
