Classical German Philosophy” is a movement of
idealist philosophers that flowered in the late
18th and early 19th century which created the
philosophical foundations for Marxism
They help us understand the way we think and why

we think that way. They help to explain how we
understand the universe and how we understand
ourselves.
FIRST GERMAN PHILOSOPHY

Böhme

According to Hegel, Böhme is “the first German philosopher”.


The reason for placing Böhme at the very beginning of German

philosophy is that Hegel considers him to be a profound thinker,
despite his rudimentary education.
4 IMPORTANCE OF GERMAN PHILOSOPHY-

It teaches critical thinking, close reading, clear writing,


and logical analysis; it uses these to understand the
language we use to describe the world, and our place within
it.
3 CONCEPTS-

This course examines the main areas of philosophy,


which include ethics, epistemology, and
metaphysics.

Otto von Bismarck served as prime minister of


Prussia (1862–73, 1873–90) and was the founder
and first chancellor (1871–90) of the German
Empire.
