DEHYDRATION UNIT

SYSTEM
DEHYDRATION
Purpose : to reduce water content
Common target : 10 lb/MMSCFD
Chemical used : Glycol
Glycol can be Mono-ethylene (MEG) or
Tri-ethylene (TEG)
Glycol can be regenerated by applying
heat up to 100degC (water vapor point)
Need process warranty from licensor
MONO ETHYLENE GLYCOL
(MEG)

Glycol Contactor
to contact the glycol with gas that will be
dehydrated.
Equipment is vertical vessel (column)
Size based on calculation by vendor
Design Pressure is follow upstream pressure
Internal Vessel : Structure packing for glycol
contact (sulzer, etc)
Scrubber can be designed integrated but need
to assure chimney tray is not leak.

Reboiler
to regenerate glycol by heating up to 100
degC (water vapor point)
Heating can be done using gas burner or
electric burner.
Gas burner will need fuel gas supply, high
electric spark, UV detector, and Burner
Management System (BMS) Panel.
