About:-
Google Glass is a wearable, voice- and motion-controlled Android device that resembles a pair of
eyeglasses and displays information directly in the user's field of vision. Google Glass offers an
augmented reality experience by using visual, audio and location-based inputs to provide relevant
information.
DECISION DILEMMA

2. Do we open platform to allow any eyeglass frame manufacturer to create
Glass product.
3. Do we create partnership to negotiate , partnership with major eyewear
manufacturer.
Understanding A Situation- HOW 5

What - Google Glass is a wearable computer. It looks like a pair of eyeglasses, but the lenses are
smartphone like display, access the internet when wi-fi and Bluetooth. The glass also had
GPS sensor, camera and display assembly.
When - The development of Google Glass started in 2010. It was publicly announced in April
2012 when Sergey Brin wore a prototype of the glass on 5 April, 2012.
Who - Google Glass was developed by Google X which is subsidiary of Google Inc. mainly
responsible for R&D of AR related product.
How - Google Glass used to communicate with mobile phones through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, display
content, take photos from the camera, presenting glass and took message on the glass transfer
data from their smartphones, also have microphones to attend calls. Google Glass depend upon
the user command.
Why - The U.S people wore prescription eyewear. They can adjust glasses accordingly. The people
who had a recommendation of an ophthalmologist was also important factor. Eyewear also
reflects fashion trends.
Where - The U.S people purchased prescription eyeglass which was sold in an optical store.The
consumers also purchased eyewear by examining the eye at the optical stores.
DESCRIPTIN OF ALTERNATIVE STUDY

• Google Glass has to sell their product through optical stores because people who
worked in the stores pay attention to the details of product which is important for the
company to sell their products.
• Google Glass has to improve the mass market demand so that it has to work with the
colossus to get the product successful.
• Google Glass shall make Luxottica as their partners because they are the largest in
manufacturing eyewear products.

Google Glass is as futuristic a gadget we’ve seen in recent times. It’s limited in scope right
now, but the future, Google believes, is bright and the device itself is “incredibly
compelling”Wearable smart-devices represent the next stage in mobile computing and
Google Glass is the most hotly-anticipated gadget in that space. It is not an extension of
your Android smartphone or tablet, but is a whole new gadget in itself that can perform
various day to daytasks, without you ever moving your hands. Google Glass is a technical
masterpiece. It combines numerous functions and features in a very small unit. In addition
to phone and camera (photo, video), it offers Internet connection, including GPS.
