6. Prudence
a)- What is Prudence?
- Prudence is the virtue which makes us
ready in all situations to form right judgements
about what we must do or not do.
b)- Why is it important for us to live the virtue of
prudence?
- By being more prudent, one can make better
decisions, not only in his spiritual life but also in
his daily relationship with other persons and In
his other duties.
• 7. Justice
a) What is Justice?
- Justice is the virtue which disposes us to give everyone what
belongs to him.
b) Why is it important for us to live the virtue of justice?
- Justice is a very important way of showing our love for God and for our
neighbors. When we pray and offer sacrifices, we give God what is his
(glory, honor, praise) and we ask him to assist us and others.
• 8. Fortitude
• a) What is Fortitude?
- Fortitude is the virtue which Disposes us to do what is good inspite of
any difficulty.

b) Why is it important for us to live the virtue of fortitude?

- All of us have difficulties in life. These usually come from our ordinary
duties, such as our studies and household chores, and also from our
relationship with other person.
• 9. Temperance
a) What is temperance?
- Temperance is the virtue which disposes us to control our desires and to use
rightly the things which please our senses.

b) Why is it important for us to live the virtue of temperance?

- When one is able to control himself in the use of the things that please him, he
becomes more free, since if not, these things will be the ones controlling him( this
happens when he gives in to vices, such as excessive drinking, smoking or gambling,
or by wrong use of sex– he finds it very difficult to stop these bad habits).
10. Piety
a) What is piety?
- Piety is honor and respect given to someone who is in any way
responsible for our existence or well-being ( God , parents, near relatives,
superiors, etc.). Through it a person is ready and willing to give God the
worship and service he deserves.

b) Why is it important for us to be pious?

- Piety is first of all the result of a relationship with God,
who loves us with an infinite love.
