ART
What is Texture?
Is one of seven elements of art. It
is used to describe the way a three-
dimentional work actually feels
when touched. In two-dimentional
work, such as painting, it may
refer to the visual "feel" of a piece.
What is Texture Art?
Texture art is an art of texture. As its most
basic, texture is defined as a tactile quality of an
object's surface it appeals to our sense of touch,
which can evoke feelings of pleasure, discomfort or
familiarity. Artist use this knowledge to elicit
emotionl rresponses from people who view their
work. Texture is essential in paintings to make
objects to be real. It can also serve to organize and
unify various areas of a composition.

TACTILE TEXTURE ART:
Is the real thing. It is the actual
way a surface feels when it is
touched, such as rough, smooth,
soft,hard, silky, slimy, sticky,etc.

STRUCTURES
VISUAL TEXTURE:
Is not actual texture. All textures
you observe in photographs and
paintings are visual textures. No
matter how rough is the object
may seem to appear in a picture,
the image surface is always going
to be smooth and flat to be touch.
