PT DUA PUTRA BARA REVIEW
• PT Dua Putra Bara right of mine (KP) area
is located administratively on Antutan
District, Bulungan Regency, East
Kalimatan. A total 35,000 ha area lies on
Tropical rain forest and has roughly terrain
with steeply slope, elevation is from 175 to
350 meters. The area can be accessed by
motor bike only a long ex timber road
about 3 hours or approximately 35
kilometers from Tanjung Selor.
• KP’s is in general survey status, has minimal geological
data records. Basically coal seam bearing is in
Sembakung Formation age Eosen, dominated by
Claystone, Shale, carbonaceous Mudstone and coal.
The Formation has been having an intensive structure
and volcanic activities. The minor scale Andesite sill
intruded sediment formation and observed on OC 01.

There are multiple high range semi anthracite coal seams
(have cooking properties) in 10 to 40 cm thickness. The coal
seam relatively EN – SWS striking and 35º dipping.

Development Risk Assessment
• The area has complex geological modeling and rough
terrain will address disadvantage in resources
estimation in particular stripping ration and mine able
reserve,
• Needs to have loan use permit after feasibility study, it
will address extra time, energy and cost,
• Needs to upgrade at least 25 km hauling road to jetty
and about 21 bridges in middle size,
• Stock file and barge load shall be constructed down
stream of bridge,
• 60 km barging line, use 300 feet barge to mother
vessel on open sea.
