 About the Department :

• Department of Geography was established

in the year 2011 with a view of imparting education in geography.

• Equipped with the classroom, instruments, maps department of geography has

completed 12 years of its fruitful existence and has ambitions, plans of development to
excel in the world of academics.
• At present two staff Members with 40 hours
of workload.
Objectives :

 Department of geography try to fulfill all the needs of the students pertaining
to the subject geography
 Every attempts is made to give best of the best to the knowledge the field of
the earth science/ geography is fulfilled that to in very simplified way.
 To develop in people an understanding of how environment and climatic
factors have influenced our life.
 To develop in them an understanding of basic concepts , principles and
theories relating to geographical phenomena.
 To help the peoples to acquire knowledge of their physical and social
environment and thus to broaden their outlook.
Best practices :

 Department organizes quiz competitions, debate competitions ,power point

presentations ,seminar presentations etc
 Study tours are conducted to study various geographical phenomina.land
forms and natural vegetation.
Highlights :
 The department has thematic maps, hanging maps, globes and scale
instruments etc
