RITUALS PRACTICES

Rituals like playing gongs while dancing and they also offer pigs and chickens.

Pamuhat, it is propitiations through prayers. It is done when someone is sick, and rituals for
thanksgiving after harvest. Umayamnon tribe make use if beetle sliced thinly and wrapped in
leaves and arranged in a plate.

The Bukidnon, Matigsalog, Umayamnon and Tigwahanon Tribes have the same practice of
dipping a chicken feather to the blood of the chicken and writing it on our palm. This
accordingly, will give us good luck and better understanding of the research.

The Matigsalog and the Umayamnon and Tigwahanon Tribes have the same practice of fanning the feathers
of the dead chicken over our head. This was supposed to guide us and be free from bad spirits. All the seven
tribes make use of one-peso coin as a symbol of acceptance to the tribe. The coins are either place on the
plate or arranged in a straight line as the Higaonon does. The Umayamnon on the other hand, arrange the
coins in a V form.
