Identify whether the conditional statement given in each item is a zero type/present
real conditional or a type 1-present or future real conditional. Write PRC if it’s the the
zero type and FRC if it’s type 1 conditional.

2. construct sentences using Present Unreal Conditionals

in expressing different argumentative


circumstances; and
3. show appreciation on the importance of using Present
Unreal Conditional in asserting arguments on social issues.

generally used to talk about impossible or


more likely unrealistic situations and the
possibilities if they happen
TYPE 2 – Present Unreal Conditional

If + Simple past……would + infinitive


It has two uses:
 We use it to talk about things in the
future that are probably not going
to be true.
 We use it to talk about something in
the present which is impossible, but
because it’s not true.
Examples of the 1 Function:
