ISRO's RISAT-2 satellite bows out
after 13 years of service; makes
atmospheric re-entry
The Indian space agency said that its RISAT-2
satellite made uncontrolled atmospheric re-entry
earlier this week, after performing its tasks in
space for nearly 13 years.
The re-entry occurred at the predicted impact
point in the Indian Ocean near Jakarta on
October 30, 2022, 00:06 UTC with an uncertainty
of ±10 minutes. The agency added that RISAT-2
had no fuel left on re-entry and that
contaminations or explosion by fuel were not
expected. Based on studies, it was also said that
pieces generated due to aero-thermal
fragmentation (as a result of the high

Elon Musk is cracking down on people who impersonate others on Twitter, tightening policies and banning
celebrities including Kathy Griffin who had posed as him.
The move is one of the first by Mr. Musk, a self-described free-speech absolutist, to tighten Twitter Inc.’s
free-speech policies. He said Sunday that impersonating accounts will be permanently suspended unless
they are specified as parody.
Musk's announcement came as a number of high-profile Twitter users changed their display name and
profile picture to match Musk's. Comedian Sarah Silverman posted a screenshot indicating that her
account was temporarily locked for violating Twitter rules after she tweeted using Musk's name and profile
picture. Silverman's tweet impersonating Musk said, "I am a freedom of speech absolutist and I eat doody
for breakfast every day."

A painful recession may hit global economy
soon, says Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu
There are chances of a painful recession hitting the global economy in the near future, and many major
economies of the world such as Japan, China and the UK among others, are struggling, Sridhar Vembu
the CEO of the Chennai-headquartered Zoho Corporation said.
Speaking on the sidelines of the Zoholics India, the annual user conference in New Delhi, he said it needs
to be seen how things will shape up for the global economy in the times to come. He said despite the
slowdown and tough economic conditions, their company had done well and managed to reach a revenue
of $1 billion, and is one of the first technology product companies to do so in India.
He pointed out that technologists should practice more humility. “After all, we cannot code more food
nor compile new energy. Unfortunately, recent developments in our industry amidst the backdrop of a
rapidly deteriorating global economic outlook, are a rude reminder of our own limits as technologists.
Fundamentals matter now more than ever, and our industry has to learn to lower the friction of
technology so that technology becomes far more affordable.”

INDIA BREEZE PAST ZIMBABWE!
Picking Qafor Thattar to host the world cup was a mistake 12 years ago,
FIFA’s president at the time Sepp Blatter said Tuesday.
It’s a country that’s too small the smallest host since the 1954
tournament in Switzerland. Football and the world cup are too big for
that.
It was a bad choice and I was responsible for that as the president at
that time. Said Blatter
With less than two weeks before the tournament starts as he makes the
statement and reveals USA were preferred hosts.
