How to Cite Your Resources
What is Academic Integrity?
•Academic Integrity is practicing moral and honest behavior when it comes to your work and the
work of others. Use your own words and give credit to those writers and artists whose work you
admire.
How Do You Avoid Plagiarism?

• Cite Your Sources

• Use Quotations
• Paraphrase/Summarize

Citing your sources gives credit to the author and/or publication

you borrowed your information from. Use quotation marks to
set apart the author's work from your own.
Paraphrase/Summarize information in your own words if you
do not use a quote, but still include where you found the
information on your sources page.
