Introduction To Data Analytics
Introduction To Data Analytics
Introduction To Data Analytics
Capture Data : This is where data is collected from a variety of different sources and
brought into the organization. With so much data being created everyday, the ways to
collect it are truly endless. One common method is getting data from outside resources
Manage : Here we're talking about how we care for our data, how and where it's
stored, the tools used to keep it safe and secure, and the actions taken to make sure that
it's maintained properly. This phase is very important to data cleansing
Analyze data : This is where data analysts really shine. In this phase, the data is used
to solve problems, make great decisions, and support business goals
Archiving : Means storing data in a place where it's still available, but may not be
used again. During analysis, analysts handle huge amounts of data.
Destroy phase : Yes, it sounds sad, but when you destroy data, it won't hurt a bit. So 4
let's get back to our electricity provider example. They would have data stored on
multiple hard drives. To destroy it, the company would use a secure data erasure software

ALL ABOUT DATABASES
Database is a collection of data stored in a computer system, but
storage is just the beginning

COMMON CALCULATIONS AND FORMULAS
All formulas begin with an equal sign. We'll type that first, followed by
sum and then an open parenthesis. After the open parenthesis, we need to
tell the formula which cells are being added. In this case, we need data
from the whole row which begins in cell B2. B2 is a cell reference we'll
use. Instead of typing each cell one by one, we can put them in the
formula quickly by selecting cell B2 and dragging the fill handle across
the row to the last cell with sales data, M2.

Good presentation: people are logically guided through the data
The good presentation logically guides the audience through the data – from the objectives at the
beginning all the way to the conclusions at the end. Notice how the data visualizations are
introduced using a common theme and are thoughtfully placed before each conclusion. A good
presentation gives people in the audience the facts and data, helps them understand what the data
means, and provides takeaways about how they can use their understanding to make a change or do
some good.
