Suction Sampling
Normal operation :
Compress holder cylinder:
•Collect probe samples from tundish for process sampling
•Compress the cylinder of a suction sampling holder

Tundish sample operation
Conduct sampling:
• Insert a probe sampler into the end of a holder
• insert probe sampler into molten steel at preheating inlet in the
tundish around 400 mm
• After 5 second take out the probe from molten steel at tundish
• separate samples of the probe has been solid
Cool Samples :
• cool by using water samples that have been separated from the
probe sample

Safety notes :
1. Check any moisture in a sampler and only a dried one can
be used ( wet ones may lead you to get burned upon an
explotion of molten steel )
2. When take the sampler, wear flame resistant clothes, a
face shield, eye shields and leather gloves
3. When take the sampling, check any presence of operators
in the vicinity and secure a safety zone
4. When cutting a sample pin by using sa sampler cutter,
you are requared to use clamp or tweezers ( cutting may
lead to sample bouncing and clashing against your face
