 Survey Research
 Laboratory Research

 Field Investigation Research

 Causal Research

 Technological Research

 Policy Research

 Conclusive Research

 Clinical Research

 Other Types of Research

SURVEY RESEARCH

 It is the collection of information from a sample

of individuals through their responses to
question

 We can done a survey research through the

method of Personal interviews, mailed
questionnaires, personal discussion and indirect
oral investigations
LABORATORY RESEARCH
 Laboratory research is based on experiments
conducted in a laboratory

 . They are useful in social sciences also , but with

limited applications .

 problem in this type of research is to set up a

social research laboratory and to create
environmental conditions.
FIELD INVESTIGATION RESEARCH

 It is a qualitative method of data collection that

aim to observe , interact and understand people
while they are in a natural environment

 This research is ideal to testing the theory and

the solution of the real worlds problems.
CAUSAL RESEARCH
 It is a research method that is used to determine
the cause and effect relationship between two
variables.

 This research is used mainly to identify the cause

of the given behavior.

 Experimental and quasi experimental studies

are usually applied to explore cause and effect
relationship
TECHNOLOGICAL RESEARCH

 The Technological Research describes how

technology develops and improves..

 Technological research consists largely of the

application of the previously listed kinds of
research to the immediate of business or
industry
POLICY RESEARCH

 It is basically a research with policy implications

 Research conducted for the specific purpose of

application may be treated as policy research
CONCLUSIVE RESEARCH

 It involves the application of quantitative

methods of data collection and data analysis.

 It is used to obtain information that can be used

to reach conclusions or make decisions

 Descriptive research and Causal research are

conclusive research
CLINICAL RESEARCH

 Clinical research are the research which follow

case-study methods or in-depth approaches to
reach the basic causal relations
OTHER TYPES OF RESERCH
 Research can be conclusion oriented or decision
oriented

 In conclusion oriented research , researchers are

free to pick up problem

 In decision oriented research, researchers are not

free to embark upon research according to their
own inclination

 Operation research is the example for decision

oriented research
 From point of view of time we can think
research as ;

One-time research or longitudinal research

 On basis of environment in which carry out

research can be;

field setting research or laboratory research
