Agency Authorized Officer

The Agency Authorized Officer (AAO) is


the official representative of a
government agency who not only
approves loans, but also serves as a
partner of the GSIS in the timely
submission of updated information of
his agency and its employees.
Agency Authorized Officer

The agency is likewise responsible for updating the


members’ membership profiles. It must submit to
GSIS, through the designated agency authorized
officer, any change in the employment status of
members using the Agency Remittance Advice (ARA),
the basis for updating the membership profile to
reflect the new salary rate, employment status,
position and any other important information.

GSIS Loan Applications

GSIS offers various loans to assist members with their


financial needs: (Consolidated Loan)-MULTI Purpose
Loan, Policy Loan and Emergency Loan. Members and
pensioners may apply for these loans using their GSIS
eCard through the GWAPS kiosks located in all GSIS
branches, selected government agencies and Robinsons
Malls.

The Emergency loan provides assistance to GSIS to
members affected by natural calamities.

Policy Loan
Policy loan is a loan program which you can avail from your GSIS life
insurance policy.
The Policy Loan bears an interest of 8% compounded annually.
A member can apply for the Policy Loan using the GSIS Wireless
Automated Processing System (G-W@PS) kiosk installed in all GSIS servicing
offices and select government offices nationwide.
A member who has been insured for at least one year may be granted
the Policy Loan. The availing member must also have updated premium
payments and has an active policy to be eligible under this loan product.

are required when filing for a loan using
the G-W@PS kiosk which resembles an
automated teller machine.

Here are 10 easy steps to apply for a loan through the G-
W@PS kiosk:
1. Go to a GSIS office nearest you.
2. Place your eCard Plus in the G-W@PS kiosk card
reader. It will display your personal data.
3. Choose Loan Windows icon. The screen will display
the type of loans
4. Touch the loan icon you prefer (example: Conso
loan, Salary loan, Emergency loan assistance, summer
one-month salary loan). The screen will display the
tentative computation of your preferred loan. You may
change the loanable amount or payment terms.

5. The Kiosk will prompt you to update your cellphone


number and agree to the Application Agreement.
6. If you want to proceed with the application, touch
“Agree” icon. If you want to cancel, touch “Cancel” icon.
7. If you touched “Agree,” the screen will display the
verification page. You may select the finger to be used for
verification.
8. To confirm your loan application, place selected finger on the
biometric scanner. Your loan will be forwarded to your Agency
Authorized Officer (AAO) for approval/disapproval.
9. Wait for a text message notifying you of the status of your
loan application.
10. Once approved, you can withdraw anytime your loan
proceeds from any Megalink, Bancnet and Expressnet ATM located
nationwide.

Agency Authorized Officers (AAOs)
Agency Authorized Officers or AAOs, serve as the links of GSIS to its partner remitting agencies. They
have the following responsibilities:
Certify the loan applications of members in their agencies as to the following:

•That the net take home pay of members is sufficient to cover the regular monthly amortization of
the loan applied for;
•That loan borrowers are in active service;
•That loan borrowers have no pending administrative and/or criminal charge; and
•That in case of separation from the service, the agency shall make the final payment to members
only after clearance is obtained from GSIS;

GSIS Financial Assistance Loan

loan account with GSIS.

- have a take-home pay of not lower than Php5,000 after deduction of monthly obligations;

- have no pending administrative case or criminal charges.

 Employee who incurred an aggregate of not more than
fifty (50) days authorized vacation leave without pay
within the 10-year period shall be considered as having
rendered continuous service for purpose of granting the
loyalty pay
 Employee who incurred an aggregate of not more than
twenty-five (25) days authorized vacation leave without
pay within the 5-year period may qualify for the 5-year
milestone loyalty award
