BE HOLY
 1 Peter 1:15 but as He who called you is
holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,
16 because it is written,
“Be holy, for I am holy.”
1.HOLINESS: God’s Moral Attribute

“Be holy, for I am holy.”

Isaiah 17:7 In that day a man will look to his Maker,
And his eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

Isaiah 6:3 And one cried to another and said:

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts;
The whole earth is full of His glory!”
2.HOLINESS: God’s Will for us
1 Thessalonians 4:3 For this is the will of God, your
sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality;

1 Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself

sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and
body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus

5.HOLINESS: a Person – Jesus Christ
Acts 4:27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom
You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles
and the people of Israel, were gathered together… 30 by
stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders
may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

Mark 1:24 saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You,

Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us?
I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”
6.HOLINESS: His finished Work –
He died to make us Holy

2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no

sin to be sin for us, that we might become the
righteousness of God in Him.
7.HOLINESS: to be Heavenly – Minded
Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above,
not on things on the earth.

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren,

by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable
service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
what is that good and acceptable
and perfect will of God.
8.HOLINESS: Holy Mind, Holy Scriptures
2 Timothy 3:12 Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ
Jesus will suffer persecution. 13 But evil men and impostors
will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14
But you must continue in the things which you have learned
and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned
them, 15 and that
from childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are
able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in
Christ Jesus.

unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with
wickedness? How can light live with darkness?
