Climate:
The climate of the sahara desert is scorching hot and parch
dry. it has a short rainy reason.
Flora and Fauna:

Vegetation in the sahara desert includes cactus date palms acacia


there are oasis-green islands hyenas jackalas and foxes
Life of People

Among them are the Bedouins and the Tuaregs. These groups are
nomadic tribes. They wear heavy robes to protect them from the
harsh climate i.e. dust storms and hot winds. The tribes are engaged
in animal rearing.

valleys and gorges.

mainly as snow in winter. One locality, Dras (Drass), is reputed
to be one of the world's coldest permanently inhabited places,
with winter temperatures falling to as low as −40 °F (−40 °C) or

• Its natural features consist mainly of high plains and deep
valleys. The high plain predominates in the east, diminishing
gradually toward the west. In southeastern Ladakh lies Rupshu,
an area of large, brackish lakes with a uniform elevation of
about 13,500 feet (4,100 metres).
• Flora: Vegetation is scanty in the Ladakh desert. There are
scanty patches of grasses and shrubs. Groves of willows and
poplars are seen in the valleys. During the summers, fruit trees
such as apples, apricots and walnuts grow.

• Fauna: Several species of birds are found in the Ladakh desert.


Robins, redstarts, Tibetan snowcock, raven, and hoopoe are
common. The animals found in this region are wild goats, wild
sheep, yak, and special kinds of dogs
