My name is Zamira Matarrita

To everyone who is proud of us today, welcome and thank you for joining us.
I first want to mention that it is an honor to give the graduation speech on behalf of my classmates and friends
who are graduating from ninth grade today.
Due to the pandemic, this has been an epic year, however today we all share the joy of having concluded a
successful school year.
Throughout this year we have accumulated experiences, moments, and memories, in every place of our institution
and in online classes. Adapting to this new reality was difficult for us, but together we were able to overcome it.
Why not remember all the experiences we had in Selvamar, when we received photography class, we walked on
the trails and mosquitoes bit us, or when we did PE in the rain, or when noise had become an obstacle to our
learning. Now, all these experiences will accompany us forever.
Each one of us has left a mark, be it from a presentation in a class, an answer to a question, a grade in a subject, or
most importantly, the footprint that we have left on each other because as you know, some leave and others stay.
This footprint began simply by having met, because being able to meet someone over the course of a few months
or years, makes it so that you never forget them, and always carry them with you.
"It is very difficult to find a good friend, it is even more difficult to leave him, but it is impossible to forget him"
And of course, I do not want to forget those people who have helped us so much, people who have contributed to
making this stage of our lives easier and who have supported us in difficult moments. When everything went
black, they pointed us in the proper direction, by these people I mean our families and teachers.
Now, I am writing to you, colleagues, to congratulate you for having finished this very important stage in our
lives, and also to remind you that the challenge does not end here but in 3 more years. As you know, we are
entering a new stage, high school. This is a stage where we will better prepare for our future. Everything will be
more difficult, but not impossible, with lots of effort, sacrifice and responsibility we will achieve it.
I want to offer you my voice of encouragement and invite you to face this challenge with sufficient maturity and
responsibility, because this is where we solidify our way of thinking, feeling, and acting that will lead us to have a
defined concept of what “WE WANT TO DO IN THE LIFE".

Have you asked yourself, “what do I want to be in life?”. I believe that we all want to be professionals in any area of
​knowledge, and I know that we can achieve it. We must be confident in our abilities, and thus we will achieve
professional success.

Hola personal, padres y, por supuesto, mi clase. Mi nombre es Ulysse. Me gustaría comenzar
felicitando a mis compañeros por llegar tan lejos, aunque les recuerdo que esto nunca hubiera sido
posible sin el apoyo de nuestros maravillosos maestros y por supuesto de nuestros amorosos padres.
Por esta bendición, gracias. Hoy aunque es un día triste, también es emocionante. Dejaremos atrás a
algunos de los maravillosos mentores académicos que nos han puesto donde estamos hoy y nos
abrochamos el cinturón para proceder al reino de Ms. Mónica. (O digo, ¿"Queendom"?)

A lo largo de mi corto tiempo en esta tierra, he reducido el complejo fenómeno que llamamos vida a
un par de habilidades básicas que debes cultivar para tener éxito: sear determinado y tomar riesgos.
Quiero que todos reflexionen sobre algo, no les preguntaré qué piensan, esto es solo un breve ejercicio
personal. Quiero que todos cierren los ojos. ¿Qué es lo que más quieren en la vida? Piénselo de
verdad... Ahora imagínese con él, sea lo que sea, visualízelo de verdad. Si puedes imaginarlo y tienes el
impulso para conseguirlo, te prometo que puedes conseguirlo. Ya sea esa chica que viste en Instagram
o ese cálido sándwich de Nutella en tu mochila, puedes hacerlo.

Ahora que ha roto el límite imaginario, debes lograr esee objetivo. Es más fácil decirlo que hacerlo.
NUNCA debes perder el enfoque de tu objetivo, si te derriban, debes levantarte. No importa qué
consecuencias pueda presentar ese camino y sí, incluso si no puedes hacer amigos el primer día de
clases, sigue adelante.
En nuestra vida (clase de 2024), ahora más que nunca, estamos tomando riesgos, estamos probando
cosas nuevas. Ahora, no todos estos riesgos acabarán bien. Esto es simplemente parte del aprendizaje,
pero aún se necesita hacer cosas que lo hagan sentir un poco incómodo. Si crees que eres inteligente o
no, es irrelevante, este es el secreto para que te vaya bien en la escuela. Al pasar al Programa del
Diploma IB, la pregunta es: ¿lo quiere? Si realmente lo desea, tendrá que hacer sacrificios para
conseguirlo. Es posible que no puedas salir con tus amigos después de la escuela o el fin de semana, o
tal vez no podrás ir a esa fiesta hasta las 3 a.m. La verdad es que está destinado a ser difícil y pondrá a
prueba tu determinación. Es por eso que le digo ahora, transforme su forma de pensar, si no lo ha
hecho ya, esto debe realizarse para que tenga éxito.

Así que te invito a que encuentres tu propia versión del sándwich de Nutella y no te detengas hasta
que pongas los dientes en él y pruebes ese exitoso dulce
