in the Philippines today.

=The Philippines is among the countries


with the fastest loss of forest cover
around the world.
=There were 19,042 deforestation alerts reported in the
Philippines between 28th of September 2022 and
5th of October 2022, covering a total 233 ha of which
0.15% were highly confidence alerts detected by a
single system.

=The Philippines is losing approximately 47,000 hectares of


forest cover every year, according to the data provided
by the Forest Management Bureau of the Department of
Environment and Natural Resources [DENR].
