Brief Overview
• A crucial component of the criminal justice system is
forensic science. To produce unbiased conclusion that can
aid in the investigation and prosecution of crime
perpetrators or clear an innocent person of suspicion
forensic scientists examine and analyze evidence from
crime scenes and other locations. Forensic science also has
six different primary fields.
• Forensic anthropology
• Forensic engineering
• Forensic odontology
• Forensic pathology
• Forensic entomology
• Toxicology
Required education
and training
• Education needed for forensic
science, technicians typically need
at least a bachelor's degree in a
field such as physical science,
biology, or forensic science.

study such as toxicology,
pathology, or DNA
My Interests and abilities in
this career

• My interests in this career is that you never know that


is going to happen or what you are going to have to do
the next day. I am also just curious on how that part of
the field works it just seems so cool to do something
like that and be able to bring the people committing
the crimes to justice. My abilities in this career would
be I am good at science and love to learn new things
about how things work.
• Wats to move up into the field are. After
completing an advanced degree and
accumulating extensive hands-on experience,
forensic scientists can move up to teaching roles
at colleges and universities. To qualify, the
typically need a Ph.D. in a natural science such
as biology, chemistry or biochemistry, or in
forensic science or forensic investigation.
Opportunities • The highest position for this field is a Forensic
Medical Examiner
in the field
How this field affect your
life
• When you're in this field it will take a metal toll
on you, you will have to look at graphic things
and deal with secrets that you can't tell, and you
can't really talk about your job because it is all
legal things. Also, when in this field or
studying for this field, you will have no extra
time on your hands so your social life might
not be the greatest.
