Brief Overview
• A crucial component of the criminal justice system is
forensic science. To produce unbiased conclusion that can
aid in the investigation and prosecution of crime
perpetrators or clear an innocent person of suspicion
forensic scientists examine and analyze evidence from
crime scenes and other locations. Forensic science also has
six different primary fields.
• Forensic anthropology
• Forensic engineering
• Forensic odontology
• Forensic pathology
• Forensic entomology
• Toxicology
Required education
and training
• Education needed for forensic
science, technicians typically need
at least a bachelor's degree in a
field such as physical science,
biology, or forensic science.
