intent, partcipants and
grammatical structures.

people who have very
close relationships

experiential knowledge
in common

and pronunciation

used among friends or

phrases and speaks in
incomplete sentences
CONSULTATIVE

a style in which the speaker
constantly observes
listener’s verbal & non-
verbal cues for feedback

say next depends on the
feedback provided by
the listener
Most of the time used
when talking to the
strangers
Pronounces words
carefullly & in complete
sentences to avoid
misunderstanding
