invented
the game?
James Naismith
He was the one who invented the
game basketball in the year 1891.
He is a Canadian clergyman,
educator and physician.
The objective of the
game is to earn points
by shooting the ball
into the basket/ring.
The team with most
number of shoots when
the time ends wins the
game.
The violation in basketball is
called foul.
There are two types of foul given
in a game.
1. Personal foul (disruptive
physical contact)- is penalized
and usually a free throw is
awarded to an offensive player
if he is fouled while shooting
the ball.
2. Technical foul- may be issued
commonly for unsportmanlike
conduct on the opposing team.
The game was played
before with the use of
peach basket and an
improvise ball.
The game develop and
evolved until it reaches
the present time.

successful shoots and earn points
for the whole team.

Chest pass- A
pass that
originates from
the chest to the
receivers chest

Over head pass-

originates from
forehead aiming
for your
teammates chin.
Bounce pass-
When executing this
kind of passes,
calculate about 3/3
distance right to
your receiver.

One of the most important basic skill
since in this sport, speed defines the best.
Whether your in the offensive or defensive
side of the game passing, receiving,
shooting or rebounding the ball you always
have to run in any way possible.
Pick and Shoot!
As the teacher signals “GO” the first
member of each group will pick a strip
of question to answer. S/he will answer
the question, crumples the strip and
shoot it in the basket provided per
group.
After shooting, the first member goes
to the board and writes their answer.
The group with the most number of
correct answer and successful shoots
combined within the limited time
alloted will win the game.
