Abstract
The main objective of this research is to analyze and enhance
the interior design of the house Las Peñas Siglo XXI B&B, in
order to know and adapt the characteristics that are present in
the interior of the house.
The project respects the historical physiognomy of the
neighborhood, a colonial architecture, which can be seen in
the use of wooden lattices or Chasas and interior courtyards,
as communication cores, traditional characteristics of
Guayaquil.
Introduction
We analyze the interior design of the house Las
Peñas Siglo XXI B&B, the different problems of
spatiality, materiality, functionality that arise.
We focus on the vertical and horizontal circulation,
and in turn on the purpose for which the project
was designed, and then observe the new functional
language that currently offers.
Problem Statement
One of the problems that the house currently presents
is the type of function it fulfills, since it was previously
designed for a family and is currently presented as a
hostel that offers lodging services for tourists visiting
the sector, radically changing the use of the house.
