 Abstract
The main objective of this research is to analyze and enhance
the interior design of the house Las Peñas Siglo XXI B&B, in
order to know and adapt the characteristics that are present in
the interior of the house.
The project respects the historical physiognomy of the
neighborhood, a colonial architecture, which can be seen in
the use of wooden lattices or Chasas and interior courtyards,
as communication cores, traditional characteristics of
Guayaquil.
 Introduction
We analyze the interior design of the house Las
Peñas Siglo XXI B&B, the different problems of
spatiality, materiality, functionality that arise.
We focus on the vertical and horizontal circulation,
and in turn on the purpose for which the project
was designed, and then observe the new functional
language that currently offers.
Problem Statement
One of the problems that the house currently presents
is the type of function it fulfills, since it was previously
designed for a family and is currently presented as a
hostel that offers lodging services for tourists visiting
the sector, radically changing the use of the house.
Purpose of study
To generate a critical vision that
is interested in the internal
design of the building, such as
the spaces that can generate the
same.
Scope of study
Through surveys of the local
population and tourists who visit
the sector and use the lodge, we
want to have a clear vision of
what the sector is like and how
the interior design of the house
works.
 General Objetives
To gather information and analyze the interior design of
the house Las Peñas Siglo XXI B&B, from its
beginnings to the present.

Specific Objectives
To study contemporary
architecture in the interior of the To identify circulation problems. To understand the importance of
home. a good distribution of spaces.
Literature Review
Today, importance is given to the things and changes
that can be made to include people with other abilities
in most activities, so that they feel included and not set
apart from others.

So, it is imperative to improve facilities in most

hotels, including public and private properties.

According to (Lopez, 2016) it is necessary to analyze

and have an idea about disability and people with
disabilities, because they constitute one of the most
marginalized and socially excluded social groups.

It has more than 400 years of history
The name come from the Italian
language, and it means rock hill
The neighborhood was destroyed two
times by the fires, the first one on
October 5 of 1896 and the second one
on July 16 of 1902.
In 1982, it was declared a cultural
heritage of Ecuador
It was home of famous people such as
Rita Lecumberri, Víctor Manuel
Rendón, Alfredo Baquerizo Moreno.

In the city there must be certain regularities to create awareness
about the conservation of heritage, so modern architecture is
gaining ground in this specific sector and generates a false
history mixed with old buildings.
