Summary

Jody is a small kid whose father got bit by a snake (rattlesnake to be


exact) so Jody kills a Doe and uses its heart and liver to draw out the
poison (since he lives in a remote area where there isn’t a hospital
nearby) so Jody wonders what will happen to the Fawn after his
mother is gone
