• To Perform Dynamic Calculations for E.V
• Model and Simulate EV in MATLAB based on the calculations and
standard specifications and parameters of vehicle.
• Modelling of TATA NEXON PRIME, TATA NEXON MAX, MG ZS ,
HYUNDAI KONA.
• Comparing the results obtained after the simulation on different drive
cycles.
• State of charge, Current drawn from battery, Range of EV based on
Different drive cycles
Objectives
• Comparing the reference and actual speed in drive cycles.
• Possible upgrades(Battery change, battery weight, regenerative
breaking systems improvements, Motor Torque, Motor Max Power, EV
Material) in current models.
Methodology
• Dynamic Calculations on EV
• Calculation of Aerodynamic drag, Rolling resistance, Gradient
resistance, Acceleration force, Power req, Motor RPM and torque,
Wheel RPM.
• Modelling and Simulation in MATLAB using H-Bridge, Control PWM,
Vehicle Body, DC Motor, Simple Gear Box, Controlled Voltage Sources,
Longitudinal Drivers, Drive Cycles, Battery.
• Flowchart
• Comparing SOC, Range, Current Drawn from battery, Reference and
Actual Speed on different drive cycles of 4 selected EVs.
