BUSINESS ETHICS USAGE TO ATTAIN CORE OBJECTIVES.

Introduction:

 On 26 August 2022,Edendale Mall reopened greater than before consequent to the riots in
July 2021, which immensely damaged the property.
 I am apprising this because my core objective for this presentation is to intensify the
importance of business ethics in the corporate environment, operation and business
conquest.
S1:Business ethics & core objective.
Business Ethics are defined as the
attributable business policies and
practices that separates right from
wrong & help the business achieve it’s
core objective.

Social and ethics committee.

 Exemplar REITAIL Ltd have a social and ethics committee which is a statutory
committee that operates under the guidance of Companies Act and the King IV principles.
 It is the responsibility of the committee to apprise the ethical conduct that expected in the
workplace and issue a remedy for non-compliance.
 King IV principles are reflects the ethical culture of Exemplar REITail Ltd
King IV Principles:

The governing body should lead ethically and effectively:

Exemplar follow business ethics of responsibility, accountability, fairness and transparency to
maximize the company performance and board members performance.
The governing body should govern the ethics of the organisation in a way that supports the
ethical culture.
This principle directs the company to comply with ethical standards of the business
operations and the environment in which it operates in, in accordance with the code of ethics
and conduct.
Impact of business ethics on Edendale Mall :

 The business ethics of responsibility, accountability, fairness, transparency and the

mentioned King IV principles helps the company operate optimally. It allows it to be
transparent with it’s previous encounters in the industry reflecting that it is a great
investment option. Fairness indicates that all stakeholders are seen as equals and granted
suitable punishments/benefits and Responsibility highlights that it can fulfill the duties
expected from it & benefit either the company or external beneficiaries.
 The Edendale Mall clearly shows that Exemplar REITail Ltd operates under strict ethical
culture.This is shown by the ability to continue with the property building without
stealing any money from the project.
