 What is To Be?
• To be has important function that is to connect
subject and predicat.
Example
• I am a student at Polinela
• She is my English lecturer
am” : for who?
To be “am” HANYA UNTUK “I” (aku)

E.g.:

“is” : for who?

1. Untuk menyatakan : apa, siapa, bagaimana, kapan, dimana
- keadaan orang, hewan atau benda (bagaimana) :
menggunakan kata sifat (Adjective)
e.g: She is healthy. Dia sehat.
- Sifat orang, hewan atau benda (bagaimana) : menggunakan
kata sifat (Adjective)
e.g: My cat is so cute. Kucingku sangat imut.
 Lokasi (dimana)
e.g: Joesouf and I are in the classroom. Joesouf dan aku ada di ruang kelas.
- Pekerjaan (apa)
e.g: Zahra is a student. Zahra seorang siswa.
