WHAT IS JUNK FOOD?

• High energy nutrient poor foods that are


not needed for good health.
• Should only be consumed occasionally
and in small amounts.
• A food that is high in fat, sodium,
artificial dyes and sugar.
• It is easy to carry, purchase and consum.
• Generally, a junk food is given a very
attractive appearance by adding food
additives and colors to enhance flavor,
texture and increase self long life.
