A library card will allow me to:
Check out materials
 Books, movies, music, audio books
Use the computers
Access library information from
any computer
 Look up your account
 Renew or request materials
 Use electronic resources
How do I use the catalog?
 Go to www.columbuslibrary.org and click
“Catalog”
 Type in a word or two about what you are
looking for
 Use the “Advanced Search” option to find
specific items
 Put items in your Book Bag and reserve them all
at once!
 Click “My Account” to look up information about
your library account

Go to the “Customer Service” desk to:
 Get or renew a library card
 Ask questions about your library card
account
 Pay library fines
 Remove security cases from DVDs & CDs
after checking them out
 Change your address or phone number
The Information Desk
Go to the “Information” desk to:
 Find materials in the library
 ESOL books, DVDs, CDs
 Immigration & citizenship books and DVDs
 Study guides for tests

 Request materials to be sent from


other libraries
Go to the “Information” desk to:
 Get help finding immigration, citizenship, &
tax forms online
 Get help with computers, printing, &
photocopying
 Get help finding driving directions
 Get help finding community resources
 Immigration services, child care, tutoring,
health

the library. Here are ways you can help:

 Do not leave children under age 7 unattended

 Keep voices quiet while in the library

 Tell staff member if you see something


dangerous, disruptive, or inappropriate
