DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF FIRE

ALERT IN MODERN FIRE ALARM
USING SMOKE DETECTION SYSTEM

Researchers:
Canada, Nino
INTRODUCTION
Nowadays, securing one’s property and business against fire is becoming more
and more important. Monitoring commercial and residential areas all around us
effectively reduce personal property losses due to fire disasters. Smoke detection has
become a fundamental component of most modern buildings' active fire protection
strategy, particularly residential occupancies. However, this was not always the case.
Smoke and fire detection systems are very essential for security purposes.
OBJECTIVE
Generally, the legal requirement for a fire alarm system relates to the protection of
life. In general fire alarm systems are installed to:

 To provide the fire department with early notification of a fire in a building

 To minimize any fatal incidents during emergency situations and safety of

citizens

 To reduce loss of property

 To reduce building damage

 Minimize risk to the public who attend unfamiliar properties

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The study aims to secure safety against fire incidents that have a fire early
detection and warning. Specifically, this study seeks to answer the
following questions:

 Firefighters get information about the location of the fire slowly

and the rate of damage caused by fire is very high

 Unawareness of people about the fire incident

 Poor manipulation of fire alert system

 It must detect fire at all locations in CSAP Building

 CSAP must have a modern fire alert system to ensure the safety
of students, teachers, staff, and visitors
SCOPE AND LIMITATIONS
Scope
 This fire alert system has the capability to detect heat and
smoke as it was the starting point of the fire

 It gives a warning by triggering the fire alarm bell 10 meters

away from the fire alarm bell

 It sends SMS alert in multiple phone numbers as it was

designed by the code

 It sends call alerts to multiple phone numbers as it was

designed by the code

 Can manage to have more detectors that serve as an input to

the system that gives a signal if there is a fire incident
Limitations
 Heat detectors may not detect heat in situations where heat
cannot reach the sensing chamber of the detector

 They may not provide early warning of a fire developing on

another level of a building

 In addition, detectors may not sense a fire developing on the

other side of a closed door
CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
RESEARCH ENVIRONMENT
This research focuses on residential and commercial buildings it is essential to
any facility, particularly in large buildings where there may be visitors or personnel
who are unfamiliar with their surroundings. Fire alarms alert building occupants of
a fire alert emergency public responders (police and fire) through a central station
link to initiate appropriate responses.
