Objectives

1 2 3 4
Understanding the Understanding B & Explaining how Giving an overview
branches of the T cells both B & T cell as how both
immunity system activation work branches interact
with another
Branches of
Immunity
1. Specific (adaptive)
- T-cell
- B-cell
2.Non-specific (innate)
- Dendritic
- Macrophages
- Natural KC
- Neutrophils
- Eosinophils
ADAPTIVE (SPECIFIC)

Humoral mediated Cell mediated immunity

immunity
B -cells

• Opsonization
- The process of an antibody binding to a pathogen to contain an infection
- It prevents the spread of infection
- It marks the pathogen for destruction
B- cell
activation
• Needs to bind to an antigen
• Is stimulated by a helper T-cell

• B-cell can be turn into either

- effector cell
- memory cell
Major Histocompatibility Complex
T-cells
• Protects the body from inside the cell
4 types of T-cell
• Helper
• Memory
• Suppressor
• Cytotoxic

- CD8+
- CD4+
When T-cells bonds to MHC receptor it activates and proliferates into
effector and memory cells
Activation of T-cell
How does regulatory T-cell work
What do they do ?
• Anti-inflammatory cytokine release
• Cell lysis if immune cells
• Blocking immune signaling
