QUEEN

Queen is a British rock band

formed in 1970 in London, made
up of singer and pianist Freddie
Mercury, guitarist Brian May and
drummer Roger Taylor.
HISTORY

Queen is a British rock group formed in 1973.

Queen came out of an initial group called Smile of heavy metal aspirations
made up of the current Queen guitarist and drummer (Brian May and Roger
Taylor) as the group could not make enough money the artists had to work
elsewhere to pay the rent.
That's where Roger Taylor met Freddie Mercury, working at a high-end
store that he frequented.
When they got to know each other well, Roger realized that Freddie was a
star, not only because he would act like one but because he sang great.
Freddie started going to Smile concerts and giving them advice on visual
themes, clothing, and stage effects. But the group never took a big step and
Roger, Freddie and May talked about getting together, but without stopping
studying in case the band didn't get ahead.
• They began looking
for a bassist and
through a friend, they
met John Deacon, and
the spark arose. They
saw that together they
made a good team and
began to create songs.
