Introduction
What is tic tac toe game?
• Tic-tac-toe is played on a three-by-three grid by two players, who
alternately place the marks X and O in one of the nine spaces in the
grid.
• In the following example, the first player (X) wins the game in seven
steps:
Objective
•  Tic-tac-toe can be more than “just A game” for helping children and even the
elderly.
• In children, it can teach them to strategize, use methods that work and look
for innovative ways to win.
• In the elderly, it can keep the mind busy and fend off the negative effects of
cognitive decline.
• Overall, the game can be highly beneficial when played by both children and
the elderly.
Methodology
The Purpose Of Tic-tac-toe

• The purpose of playing Tic-Tac-Toe is to win by getting 3 of your

marks (either X or O) in a straight line. The straight line can run
diagonally, vertically, or horizontally.
Rules Of Tic-tac-toe

• The traditional version of Tic-Tac-Toe must be played on a 3×3 grid

that incorporates 9 squares.

• Players must select their mark before the game starts (either X or O)
and must play the entire game using the same mark.
• Players must take turns, making only 1 mark with each
turn.
• Marks can only be placed in empty squares, and once it is
placed, it is permanent.
• The winner is the first player to get 3 of their marks in a
straight line (the line can be positioned diagonally,
vertically, or horizontally).
•The game is over when all 9 squares are filled with marks,
even if none of the players have a straight line of 3 marks.

•If neither player has a straight line of 3 marks, it is

considered a tie.
How To Play Tic-tac-toe

• 2 players are required for the game.

• First player will be X and other player will be O.
• The player with X starts the game.
• The first player must place their mark on any of the 9 squares on
the grid.
• Then, the second player has a turn to place their mark on the grid.
• Each player must continue to take 1 turn at a time to place their
marks until all the squares are full or until one of the players gets
3 of their marks in a straight line that is vertical, horizontal, or
diagonal.
STRATEGY:

How to win tic tac toe when you go first:

• put your ‘X’ in any corner.

• This move will pretty much send you to the winner’s circle every time,
so long as your opponent doesn’t put their first ‘O’ in the center box.
• This can make it harder to win, but it can happen.
STRATEGY:

How to win tic tac toe when you go second:

• If your opponent takes the center space, counteract that
by placing your letter in a corner.
• If your opponent takes a corner space, take the middle
space.
• If your opponent takes a corner space, take the middle space.
• This will force a draw in both cases.
• Winning is almost impossible unless a major mistake is made by
your opponent.
ADVANTAGES OF PLAYING TIC-TAC-TOE:

• Teaches strategy skills.

• Develops logical thinking.
• Improves the ability to concentrate and focus.
• Sets the foundation for learning more complex games.
ADVANTAGES OF PLAYING TIC-TAC-TOE:

• Develops problem-solving skills.

• Provides a simple and fun way for the family to bond.
• Teaches the importance of rules.
• Helps to reduce stress.
• Builds self-confidence in young children and old adults.
• Increases immune system response (playing games with others).
DISADVANTAGES OF PLAYING TIC-TAC-TOE:

• It can get boring knowing that you are going to win every single time.
• When you know how to win, the game isn’t very challenging.
• If you’re new to the game, you could be taken advantage of by players
who know the game’s winning strategies.
