Class Policies
ATTENDANCE
 “The student is limited to 11 HOURS OF ABSENCES (both excused and
unexcused absences) out of 54 required to complete the 3-unit subject within a
period of one semester or one summer as the case maybe.”

 “TARDINESS MAY BE CONSIDERED AS ABSENCE. A student who


reports to his/her lecture or laboratory class 10 minutes after class has begun is
considered absent even if he stays for class period. Three (3) records of
tardiness is also equivalent to a one (1) day absence.”

 A student who will exceed the number of hours stated above whether excused
or and unexcused shall be dropped automatically from the class. Student will
be given a mark AF (ABSENCE FROM FINALS).
 Allowed absences for a 3 unit subject that meets THRICE a week
 Not more than 11 meetings
 Allowed absences for a 3 unit subject that meets TWICE
 Not more than 7 meetings
 3 LATE = 1 ABSENT

CHEATING
The following acts shall be considered forms of cheating or academic dishonesty
1. Possession or passing of notes or any material/electronic device during
examination
2. Facilitating/aiding in the dissemination of leakage
3. Buying or selling of test papers or any portion thereof
4. Copying from or allowing another to copy from one’s examination paper.
5. Having somebody else to take the examination in his/her behalf.
6. Passing as one’s work any assigned report, case analysis, reaction paper and
the like when copied from another
7. Plagiarism
8. Other similar acts that may be determined by the instructor

CHEATING
 1st offence automatic grade of “5” on subject cheated
 2nd offence automatic grade of “5” and suspension for one (1)
semester
 3rd offence Automatic grade of “5” and suspension for 1 year
 Subsequent offense Expulsion from the university

EXAMS
NO MAKE-UP QUIZZES AND
REMOVAL EXAMS. Make-up exams
are only given to students who have
EXCUSED ABSENCES.

 DEADLINES will be strictly followed.
 5% WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR EACH DAY OF DELAY.

CELLPHONES.
 Cellphone use inside the classroom is NOT ALLOWED unless given permission by the
instructor. Student caught using a cellphone in class will be automatically dismissed
from class for that session.

 Cellphone use during examination will be considered cheating. Student caught using a
cellphone during examination will be automatically given a grade of “5” on subject
cheated.
