Printmaking

Printmaking
Printmaking as an art process that a child like you can
explore. you can learn how to print textured objects
and turn them into multiple prints on a flat surface.
A print is a work of graphic art which
has been conceived by the artist to be
realised as an original work of art, rather
than a copy of a work in another
medium. ... This surface is then inked
and the image is transferred to paper or
another material by the application of
pressure, thus creating an impression,
or print.
Kinds of
Print
Nature Print
A method of producing a print of a natural
object (such as a leaf) or a textile by making
an impression of it directly on to a soft
metal printing plate under great pressure
and then taking an inked impression on
paper.
Object Print
Printmaking is taking an object, pressing it
down, and leaving an impression. When
doing this with kids their instinct is often to
take said object, dip it in paint and slide it
across the paper as if it is a paintbrush.
Stencil Print
stenciling, in the visual arts, a technique for
reproducing designs by passing ink or paint
over holes cut in cardboard or metal onto
the surface to be decorated.
