 Identify the crimes
 I tell a story about a crime.
I worked as a receptionist in a camping. One day some young
boys robbed the caravans and tents. They stole jewelries. I
helped the tourists to report the robbery. We had to draw the
rings how they looked like. Next day the boys came to me, if I
want to buy gold rings. I recognized the rings, and until I looked
at them I gave sign to the security guards to call the police.
Police arrived quickly and the boys were arrested.
Write down if you had seen a crime. Next time you share it
with us.

CRIMINAL PROFILER:

JOHN DOUGLAS
Criminal Profiler John Douglas

John Douglas is the world’s foremost expert on profiling, he is a legend in law

enforcement.

Thinking like a criminal

Douglas decided that he goes directly to the source of violent crimes: to the people who
committed them. In his free time he interviewed criminals in the prisons. If you want to
learn about violent crime, talk with the experts: with the criminals who perpetrated
rapes, arsons and serial homicides. Soon he saw the roots and patterns of this
behavior.
“Most of these people came from a dysfunctional family,” a passive or absent father,
domineering mother and physical and/or psychological abuse. However, not all people
who experienced those traumas became violent criminals, he said.
Cruelty to animals was one of three factors he identified. The other two are bedwetting
as a child, beyond the normal age, and setting fires.
“Of the three, that (animal cruelty) is the one that really stands out; it’s really a good
predictor,” he said.
Douglas has interviewed almost every notorious serial killer in the United States. The
most cold-blooded was Dennis Rader, who called himself BTK (Bind, Torture, Kill), he
terrorized Wichita, Kansas with sexual assaults and murders, a “marathon of mayhem”
that spanned 31 years.
Rader seemingly disappeared in 1995. Whether dead, in prison, no one knew. But in
