HYDRAULIC FITTINGS

(For New fittings having serrations on outer surface)

STEPS FOR CRIMPING
1. Insert the hose on outer sleeve of respective size till top end and mark the
hose at bottom end of the sleeve

2. Lubricate the shank part of the fitting with oil and put it inside hose till the
collar on shank goes inside the sleeve

3. Measure the outer diameter (O.D)
of sleeve before crimping with the
help of vernier.
4. After placing the die of respective size place the complete sleeve portion in
between die for pressing.

5. Press the fitting in crimping machine till the diameter of sleeve is reduced by
3.5 to 4 mm. Keep on checking the dia in between to avoid damage of fittings
due to excessive pressing.

6. After crimping check the outer surface of sleeve. Presence of bulges indicates
a perfect crimping.

7. Gap in between shank collar and top end of sleeve shows a failed crimping.
