Introduction
There are three methods to estimate depth to basement:
1. Graphical Methods
2. Profile-based methods
• Werner Method
• Euler Method
• Local Wavenumber (SPI)
• AN_EUL
• Tilted Basement block
3. Grid-based methods
AN_EUL Method

Solutions are estimated at the location of the AS peak as :

N = Structural Index
(N=0 for contact, N=1 for Dike, N=2 for Horizontal cylinder)

SPI (Source Parameter Imaging)
Method
• This method was introduced by Thurston and Smith in
1997.
• Also known as Local Wavenumber (k)
• K is the horizontal derivative of tilt derivative.

• where K at peaks is inversely related to the source's depth


that caused the anomaly (the exact relationship depends
on the source geometry)
