● His father was King Philip II and
mother Olympia;
● He died at the age of 32 years;
● Bucephalus was Alexander’s
horse.

1. Alexander created the largest empire
in history;
2. He was widely considered to be one of
history’s greatest and most successful
military commanders;
3. Won many wars.
Facts about Alexander
1. Alexander was taught by Aristotle, but had
famous run-ins with other philosophers.

2. In 15 years of conquest Alexander never lost a


battle.

3. He named more than 20 cities after himself and


one after his horse.

4. The cause of Alexander’s death remains one of


the greatest mysteries of the ancient world.
