• Using the ICE system results in a drastic reduction in wiring as the Local Micro boards
communicate using two wires and hence results in a highly reliable system.
• Forum Local Micro (LM) boards use mature technology having been around for 16 years
• Core technology in LM boards is well proven and still used in automotive control
• Local Micro (LM) boards are oil and pressure tolerant and can be housed directly in
manifolds and JBs

• ‘Air gapped’ system (not connected to the Internet unless remote access is required)
means little to no risk of intrusion

• Ability to isolate subsystems to identify ground faults down to subsystems
