 When to take the core exam (HP2 or HP4) vs. the delta exam (HP5)
• Core exams (HP2 and HP4)
– Applicable to/if:
• New channel partners
• Partners not qualified for the delta exam (i.e. do not have the previous version of the certification)
• A delta exam does not exist (not every certification has a delta exam)

• Delta exams (HP5)

– Used for accelerated certification paths
– Designed to recognize previous partner certification achievement
– Are discounted and shorter exams, focusing on changes from the previous certification
– Partner must qualify for delta exams (typically by holding the identified previous version
of the certification)
– Not every certification has an accelerated path and delta exam

• How do I know if I’m qualified for the accelerated path / delta exam?
– Be sure you hold the identified prerequisite (typically the previous version of the certification)
– Requirement is highlighted in this guide and in the Exam Preparation Guide
– When in doubt, contact the HP Partner First learning support team (partnerlearningsupport@hp.com)

 When do I see my achievement recorded with HP?
• You can confirm successful passing of exam at Pearson VUE (http://www.pearsonvue.com/hpi/) under your profile
– Log in and click Exam History
• In most cases, your certification achievement appears on your partner portal within 3-5 days
– Exceptions: mismatches between your information at Pearson VUE and at HP
• What can you do to help with the data flow between Pearson VUE and HP?
– Ensure that your Pearson VUE profile contains the same information as HP:
• Your last name
• Your email address
• Your HP Learner ID (HP Learner ID is not the same as the Pearson VUE candidate ID!)

• How do I know what my HP Learner ID is?
