• I will not accept google document links.


• I will not accept files with the .pages format.
• I will not accept files with the .hiec format.
• If I cannot open your work, you will receive a ZERO.

• ALWAYS REMEMBER TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!


PLAGIARISM

• Plagiarism is a serious academic dishonesty.


• Some kinds of plagiarism:
• Copy-pasting exactly someone else’s work: a student, book, website, article, etc.
• Using the same exact ideas from someone else, but changing words to their synonyms.
• Not citing sources.
• Submitting work you have done before.

• Any student who plagiarizes will receive a ZERO. I will also talk to their Guide
Coach, the Principal, and I will file a REPORT.
ATTENDANCE (PART 1)

• I will take attendance 5 minutes after class starts. Please say “here” or “present” when I
call your name.
• You will get an absence if:
• You don’t come to class.
• You don’t answer when I take attendance.
• You arrive after 5 minutes.
• You leave class without permission.

• If you’re absent, you will get a ZERO for the day’s activity.
ATTENDANCE (PART 2)

• You have a right to 10 absences in this course. Excused or Unexcused.


• If you have more than 10, you will FAIL the course.
• What is an Excused Absence?
• An absence that is confirmed by the principal’s office. NOT BY YOU.
• Excused absences STILL COUNT toward the TOTAL ABSENCES.
• An excused absence gives you the right to turn in work at a later date determined by ME.
RESPECT (PART 1)

• Avoid Spanish.
• Speak in English during class.
• Please remain silent when the teacher speaks and when other students speak.
• Raise your hand to ask a question.
• Always bring your laptop or tablet to class.
• Put your phones away during class.
RESPECT (PART 2)

• Do not play music on speakers.


• Do not eat food during class.
• Always ask permission if you need to go to the restroom.
• No musical instruments are permitted to be played in class.
• Be mindful of the Student Rulebook. Respect goes a long way!
• Let’s create an environment where all of us can learn and work in peace. 
